Dr. Jennifer L. Goldin is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in women’s mental health issues. Her areas of expertise include infertility counseling, postpartum depression and anxiety, pregnancy loss and eating disorders.

When asked about her approach to counseling, Dr. Goldin responded “I am committed to finding ways to help women cope effectively with the stressors they face and maximize their use of the resources available in their lives.”

Dr. Goldin was raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated with honors from Cornell University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She moved to Atlanta to pursue her graduate studies at Emory University, where she earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Women’s Studies. Her dissertation research focused on coping with stress and depression in victims of domestic violence.

Dr. Goldin moved to Florida in 2000 to complete her internship training at the University of Miami Counseling Center. Continuing to explore her interests in women’s issues, she completed her Post-Doctoral fellowship at the Renfrew Center of Miami, an outpatient eating disorders treatment facility.

Through her affiliation with Dr. Mick Abae at Fertility and Genetics, Dr. Goldin has gained extensive experience working with patients with reproductive health issues. The diagnosis and treatment of infertility can be a stressful time for individuals and couples. She provides consultations for new IVF patients, guiding them through the steps involved in their treatment plan and helping them to address any questions or concerns they may have. Dr. Goldin also conducts psychological screening assessments of potential egg and sperm donors and gestational carriers.

Dr. Goldin is an active member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and the International Association for Women’s Mental Health (IAWMH).

Dr. Goldin is married to Dr. Ronald Goldin, a nephrologist in Palm Beach Gardens. They have three children. During her free time she enjoys playing tennis and cooking.
