Shaelyn Johnson, MD is double board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM / Perinatology). She has been practicing in Florida since 2021 at the OB/GYN Specialists of the Palm Beaches.
Dr. Johnson attended medical school at the University of South Florida in Tampa, completed OB/GYN residency at the State University of NY at Buffalo, and completed her fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Johnson is specialized in performing invasive diagnostic procedures such as chorionic villus sampling (CVS) and amniocentesis. In addition to minimally invasive procedures, Dr. Johnson specializes in fetal sonograms for the detection of structural malformations, and management of multiple gestation pregnancies, and genetic or structural disorders of the fetus. As a maternal-fetal medicine specialist, she provides both preconception care and manages pregnancies complicated by a variety of maternal diseases and disorders, such as diabetes and other endocrine diseases, hypertension, cardiac diseases, hematologic and autoimmune disorders, and she has a particular interest in the management of inflammatory bowel disease in pregnancy.
Shaelyn was born and raised in Florida. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, and their German shepherd dog. She also loves wakeboarding, watching football, indoor cycling, and playing tennis.
Dr. Johnson has a longstanding passion for women’s health, and the unique opportunity to care for both mother and baby is what inspired her to pursue a career in this specialized field. She takes pride in providing both personalized and compassionate care to each of her patients.
